About Survivalism

What does it mean to be a survivalist? It means being prepared for what life brings by taking responsiblity through planning, learning, and preparing.

      Often when people think about a survivalist, envisioned is someone who stock piles food and weapons to prepare for the end of the world. But a true survivalist does not prepare for the end of the world, instead a true survivalist prepares for the future of the unknown.

      If one believes that the world is going to end, then death would be certain. Perhaps time would be best spent preparing spiritually for the afterlife.

      Instead a survivalist tries to live the most meaningful life, and prepares for the possibilities of the future. This often comes through being as self sufficient as possible, and being responsible for one’s own self and family, protection, health, and sustenance.

      Common thought is to be a survivalist; one must live in the country on many acres of ranch or farmland. Although this may be ideal, there are other aspects of survivalism to consider: Many of which are financial. Being able to buy a plot of land in the country and still have a job that pays well is limiting by both population and by industry. This website is being designed for those that choose to live in the suburban range or close to the cities. As most advise when it comes to the cities on survival website is mostly “get out”.
